Supercharged DCs
First time using WinISD, I'm trying to learn a bit more about box design, instead of being ignorant and spewing numbers out of my ass. For this, I entered the T/S Params of the DC Lv4 12 subwoofer and gave it 1500w of power. This is, of course, just something I did to see how the program works. I do not plan to actually build this design, yada yada yada... I'm looking for feedback from experienced members, does this look right? I was attempting to get a flat response with minimal port noise and a F3 in the 20s. Box Design: Response Chart: Rear Port Velocity Chart: T/S Params (to be sure I entered them correcly) Comments please. I'm just looking to learn Quote Bassless once again. BassJunkie
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I do not believe that win-isd factors in port displacement which will throw the actual tuning of the box off a little bit. Is this winisd pro? RAM_Designs
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I do not believe that win-isd factors in port displacement which will throw the actual tuning of the box off a little bit. ??? WinISD doesn't tell you how to build the box or anything. You simply put in your desired net volume and tuning frequency and it'll show you an estimated anechoic frequency response. Supercharged DCs
It is Winisd pro, and no it does not factor in displacements. The value entered is net volume. Ram, any comments? I mainly posted this to hear from you, Ray, and the more experienced members here. Edited July 16, 2011 by Supercharged DCs Quote Bassless once again. RAM_Designs
I love a solid low-end, so that box would be right up my alley. Supercharged DCs
So I'm assuming you approve? I love the way it modeled, I was messing with the FI BTLN2 12 also, and it didn't do well at all... I may even pick up a Lv4 12 and put the design to use. Any other comments people?
