Torres
'better' is matter of opinion. i like ported, they generally get louder than sealed, but can also be tricky in designing them. i personally will always go ported unless i have a tunnel of subs. you seem new to all of this. just keep browsing the forums a while. you got lots to learn
zx10intn
it really depends on the equipment you have and the end goals you are trying to reach, but as stated above, most times ported will result in being louder Quote 1969 Chevy Chevelle 20/22" staggered Bonspeed Huntingtons wrapped in Nitto INVO's Mechman 250amp cs144 alt w/AVBM Kinetik 1800 main battery/Kinetik 2400 in the trunk Pioneer AVH-3200dvd Headunit (2) sets of Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine components up front (2) DD 3512's d4 coils Sundown sax100.4 component amp Sundown saz-3000d subwoofer amp 5ft^3 box tuned to 34hz MY BUILD

JimmyBaldin
if you listen to metal or rock go with sealed. if you listening to some young jeezy go with ported. ported box are bigger so you need more space. good luck!
Torres
in a sense, yeah, a 4th order. you could put a loading wall at the opening and tune it to help fine tune the output. porting one would make it a parallel tuned 6th order. kind of like the hoopty. it can be looked at as 2 ported boxes facing each other (as i believe that was how it was designed), or a 6th order. i wish i would have tunneled all my 8's when i had them
