Dbforlife Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Just going to build a new box, My first one (now) is tuned low, with a 2200d in an ext cab, hitting around 139db... no good. Expecially for having 2 yellow's big 3, multi runs, great voltage, but low numbers. right now its Sub (port) Sub. So my idea is: Sub Sub (drivers side port 3x wider than my port at about 5 inches wide). It will be a basic L port, nothing fancy, but i was just wondering, for sealing up the 90 degree creases whats the best? add 45's and fiberglass then sand? or should i use something else (and) 45 and fiberglass the whole box? just wondering. And my last problem with my box, is i only have a single 3/4 mdf plate, and does she ever flex at 30hz so i know im going with a 1.5" baffle now. Internal bracing is always a plus when trying to increase your SPL also. What do you have for sound deadening ? Craig28 Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 be careful. in some places 45s will lower your score. you can also cut pvc and glass/glue/screw that in too and it works well.
