adam6604 Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 run my brz 2400 at .5 ohms, plays maybe 1-2hours a day if im lucky so just " daily " play, will be at a local show next month so will be doing some demos, going to buy 2 Redtops for under the hood, and do the big 3. right now im running the 2400 at 2 ohms with no problems with stock electrical EDIT: sorry, so basically could i run my Hifonics BRZ 2400.1 at .5ohm stable daily? Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. Audio: Two 10" Alpine Type R's ( 1000rms models ) Hifonics BRZ 2400.1D @ .5 ohm Two Kinetic 1400 batteries ( soon to have XS power under hood ) Tsunami 1/0 Awg wire throughout truck. Stock Infinity 7 speaker system ( Junk ) soon to be replaced, probably all Alpine. Exterior: 17"Dick cepek rims with 33" Toyo MT tires Bushwacker fender flares Magnaflow true duel exhaust LED tail lights with Projector headlights Plasti-dip fun coming soon! Lots of power and little efficiency require a large electrical... Bassless once again. Beanz Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 nah i wouldnet..unless you have a bad ass stock alterntor your current draw will be a lot more going from 2 to .5 so your voltage drop will be bad maybe ending up killing your ampo That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. Not only is it ineffecient, but it'd be close to 3k, I wouldn't run 3k of effeciant power without a h/o alt, but that's just me so far...
