Most people use OverKill (or other similar CCF foam) over the entire floor.

I'm a fan of using it mostly behind trim panels to kill rattles and stuff like that.

i will undoubtedly be doing that as well. it will work just as good on the floor as well?

*i see it works mainly as a cushion of sorts for airborne sounds. it will have some effect on the floor then. those old schoool porsches come with nothing in the way of sound deadening and the carpet is alot thinner than your conventional cars', in other words there is no factory deadener.

if you have the space for it i would go with something like heatwave or heatwave pro over the overkill. its a much better choice in your application

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

Oh so very true.

I keep forgetting how well Heat Wave actually works as a noise barrier. Much better than OverKill.
