if you want to have two batteries just do two runs of 0-1/0 gauge wire from front to back and connect the batteries. do the big 3 with that and you should be getting full power to your amp

with an amp that small though you could just go with one big AGM battery in the front and not have any problems.

Wait... Are you saying you just want to run the amp off of a battery that isn't connected to your charging system? Or did I understand wrong?

that is correct kam311 is that possible? If not would it hurt having a stock bettery and a small kinetik or xs in the back? i just dont wanna spend more than 300 bucks for a new battery and wire if i could run the amp on its own battery then replace batteries when that dies

Alt is not necessary for that little power anyways. Upgrade your front battery to an xs, the biggest you can fit. Run the biggest power wire to the amp from the front battery you can and you should be right as rain.

^^^ I'd do this, but add the big 3

Dude if that were a practical way to do things a lot of people would do it, but unfortunately it's not lol. Not a good idea man

You'd spend MUcH more than 300 dollars this way, it just simply wouldn't be practical. Your amp will suck a lot of power, your battery wouldn't stay charged long at all! Your alternators what charges the batteries, without that you have nothing

alright just was wondering. cuz someone i was talking to today made me think that was possible but i had doubts so i came to my version of a professional opinion.. So all i need is to replace the battery up front to the biggest xs or kinetik battery i can get and that should do me good? the big 3 will be done but not for a couple months...

Well I'm not a professional but most stock electrical systems can handle 1200w just with the big 3, depending on the alt that you have.
