Louisiana Bass
I was going to say, just plug them in, turn them up, scope them to know your not clipping, then just unplug. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.
RickyFriery97
http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=267&CategoryID=28 /thread i can admit to not being owned on that one. however! what do i do with the bass knobs off the amps? just turn them up so the amp sees full volume and tuck them away? or is the amp going to default to full volume when the are disconnected? strapping is not possible. they are a generation of diamond amps before they where strap configurable. thanks guys. NEUMAN just set your amps gain and this^ is all you need to use, no need for the bass knobs from the amps 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer

graham0599
Most that I've seen default to the high. Whatever your gain is set and all that is what it goes to My 350z build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/174424-2008-350z-build/page-2?hl=%2B350z+%2Bbuild#entry2605678
neuspeedescort
i contacted diamond today. an the verdict is...... the amp will default to the setting at which the knob is at when unplugged. which i find this to be very weird. however i will soon find out. they did suggest the LC-1 by pac as a main knob. which was a nice thing to hear. EclipseChris
What kind of amps are we talking? Some are remote gains and others are remote bass boost. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Colin - STAPUFT
For 2 amps, that Pac-Audio knob is great. I had 3 amps I wanted on one knob- so, I just ran 3 wires from the amps bass knob hook ups, cut them all on the other end, soldered the 3 bass wires pairs together (3 sets of cat-5e), soldered another cat-5e wire to those pairs and coupled it to the bass knob wire with a quick disconnect. Works great. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. Quiet
Preamps used to be the solution here. But i rarely see people run them anymore. Most of the good ones had a line driver built in to get 8v or better to your amps. Did I miss the memo? 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. NEUMAN Seems like you talked to a noob. If the bass knob is not connected then the amp goes by what the gain is set at. This is how all amps work, and you need to set your gains even with a bass knob anyways so you dont run into clipping territory when you turn the knob up. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
