mcrowdr
I know its been discussed but wanted to ask again for clarity. Can someone tell me if it would be better to run 2 4awg wires or 1 0awg wire for an Alpine MRV-F540 and Rockford Fosgate 1000bd(old skool). I will not be upgrading anymore in the future as this is going into a convertible mustang with limited space. Any advice is appreciated.
ChevyBoy95
1 1/0 is thicker than 2 4ga. just run the 1/0 from the front battery, and use a distribution block 2 make it 2 4 ga. and basically do the same with the ground (1/0 off chassis, splits into 2 4ga grounds). mcrowdr
Would this application even call for a 0awg?
ChevyBoy95
Would this application even call for a 0awg? not really, but with 2 amps that require 4 ga, using one 2ga or 1/0 run would be easier to keep organized. mcrowdr
Ok. Which XS power would be best for this application? Only running one battery in the front..
6berry
just find out whichever one fits into your stock battery location. you can read what battery group your stock battery is in then see if xs or kinetik or whoever has a battery in the same group. if not then take the dimensions and see which battery would fit in its place 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth
