Do us all a favor and try using it next time, it isnt hard and cuts down on A LOT of useless threads. As for RMS rating...their site says 450x2 @ 2ohms...pretty sure they dont make rated though. Well you don't hate hardcore then. I've heard some some good shit about planet audio and all their reviews are like five stars so I guess I don't really care. Forums are made for threads I don't know if you knew that... maybe you could google it! There is an idea. so ima post on these threads while all you people hate I guess. I didn't ask how many watts it will do. I asked about tri mode operation. in that case it'll probably do 300watts, and you're measuring it very incorrectly. but I'm quite sure its meant to have a 25amp fuse. All I know is that the fuse in the side of my amp is a 35 amp fuse and my dad has been an electrician all his life and he measured the watts for me. Ill let you hate a little bit more though... what else do ya got... electricians really don't know much about electronics. what colour is the fuse? TheyDontWantMusic Posted July 24, 2011 Report Share Posted July 24, 2011 Purple. excellent! so its a 35amp fuse, meaning the amplifier is intended for a continuous 35amp current draw. seeing as its a class AB amp, that would make it somewhere around 70% efficient, at best. so, 35amp input, 13.8volt = 480watts input... 70% efficient = 340watts output. No. You came on here saying with this tri mode you can double your watts and asked the pro`s and cons. They told you that isnt true and since your amp only has a 35 amp fuse it literally impossible for you to get that 800 and something watts your saying your getting. Its not their fault they told you the truth and you started gettin all mad, clearly your dad didnt measure it properly, thats what they were telling you. Edit: Oh and since your amp is small its pretty much not worth running it in tri mode, since it doesnt put out a lot of power as they showed up there ^ you`d just end up underpowering your sub and speakers.
