bmph8er Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 ok i have the subs wired up in my girlfriends car at 2.6 ohm. im thinking about dropping it down to .67 ohm. i figure with box rise and resistance it should be ok. its a stock charging system stock battery with just a big 3. the car is a honda civic so sorta small battery and small alt. shes planning on upgrading the charging when she gets money ahead. so should i drop the ohms down or leave it how it is for now till the charging systems a little better. 2001 gmc seirra 5.3 auto 3.73 locked rear, long tube headers, offroad y pipe, duals, cai, black bear tune, 2/4 drop, 22s, rockford fosgate mods and highs and 4 ab hd 15s and a ab 750.1 1995 civic 1.5 auto slower then hell, dropped on coil overs, ex hub caps, 2 12 trunk, have 450 bucks in the car and gets 35 mpg 1992 s10 being bagged, shaved, and small stereo. right now a pile of parts
mlstrass Posted August 3, 2011 Report Posted August 3, 2011 Install a volt meter and turn it down some if/when voltage drops. Extra batt would be nice, shouldn't need anything else at that power level...
