im working on building a pair of 18s originally if i could do it i was gona do d1s so i could run a .25 load but d2 would work pretty well also

Wait, hold up.... Your going to run an AP amp @ .25ohm... Dude...really???

if it could be done that was the original plan now im thinking of .5 instead

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

you know you could always just buy a bigger amp???thought about that

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

want to know what it takes to run at .5? whats your max current draw 200 amps? ok now double it. so you'll have about 400 amps of current draw for another 500 watts maybe. yeah real worth it. and your 90 amp alt will not cut it.

the fuse rating for the 1800 is 120 so i dont think the max draw would be 200

This what you can do. Get another ap1800 and remove the board from it's case, then get your original ap1800 and remove it's case also. Now get some super glide and glue those bitches together (more glue = better) then wrap them tight in duct tape and mod the two cases together using a welder and more duct tape of course, and tada!!! You have a new moded so amp... And for your electrical you can just try modding your alt using the same method...

Or you can just do what everyone else here does that competes and just buy an amp that does the power you want at 2-.5ohms....

so far...

HU- pioneer DEH-P59001B

Amp- crescendo BC2000D

Wire- 1/0 awg welding lead

Electric- Big 3 ^same wire

Subs- 2 Obsidian Audio 12 d4's

Box 4ft^3 ported at 33hz. designed by Ram-Designs

Lol.. I don't even know how to reply to that!

why are you trying to run a cheap chinese-whatever amp that probably wasnt even built to withstand 1 ohm loads in the first place, at half or quarter ohm? my old ap1500 got hot enough as it is running 1 ohm with stable voltage BEFORE it blew the fuck up and dropped my voltage down to 10v for a couple seconds all while shutting off my hid's and dash lights for a split second while i heard popping noises and smelled smoke and later discovered the insane amount of burn marks on the underside of the cover. ill try to find pics.

edit: i deleted pics a while ago, but mind you it was about 11pm at night
