Insaneman1731 Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Right now here is how my extended cab floor looks like: I have built 2x4 squares to go into the low spots (outlined in red), and then just put a board on top to make everything the same height, then set my box on top of that. I was just wondering if anyone else had any better ideas..thanks.

Audiobahnaholic Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 How would you connect the fiberglass piece to the box because thats whaT I wanted to do? Take a look at a couple ot Tim's builds he's done a couple fiberglass tops and for a bottom it would be the same principal. Remember it will need to be hella strong to hold the weight of the box and woofers. andym85 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 How would you connect the fiberglass piece to the box because thats whaT I wanted to do? i would say just screw some "legs" into the fiberglass, in the low spots...then set ur box on it and screw the box to the legs... or just build up ur mold with a buch of fiberglass so its nice and thick and strong and just use that as the floor of your box.. i likes me some audio stuff...
ChevyBoy Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 what kind of truck is this for? i fiberglassed the bottom for a box, but i gave up because i couldnt figure out a port.
JustinT Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) I was thinking about doing this. But I wanted to put a floor mold on the bottom so it sits well in the back. My problem is how would I cut the bottom boards so I could just glue the mold to the bottom of the box and fill the middle with expanding foam. What kinda glue would I use? Titebond 3?
