Nightshade
Here is a link to the actual build. I kind of stopped updating it after a while cause it seemed like no one was interested. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/38750-nightshades-focus-zx3-build/page__p__550978__hl__%2Bnightshade%26%2339%3Bs+%2Bfocus+%2Bbuild__fromsearch__1#entry550978 Quote 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz
-Hobby-
Are you going with 3.5 cubes net per sub just for space Tim? I would keep it around 4 cubes net per if you have the room. The good thing is the aeros will eat up a lot less internal cubes so you get a little more room to use in your box. I would also try for around 10 - 12 sq in of port per net cube. 2 6" is on the small side IMO. At 8 cubes net 2 8" ports would get you up around 12 sq in per net cube. Or try a single 10" port. That would get you almost 10 sq per net cube. With the smaller port areas your box will tend to be more musical in general.
KillaCam
Not to thread jack but ive seen some people wrap their external aeroports with sound deadener. Anyone think it could mess up airflow if you do it on an internal port? Quote And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth.. OrionStang
Just gonna put what worked well for me. I had 3 15 XL's and 3 6" PSP ports in a 10 cuft box(3.34 per sub), and it got fucking loud and low. Power was a Stetsom 7k @.97 nominal. I'm gonna play with it and see how well 8 cubes would fit. I was thinking smaller port area to be more musical, and also because of 3000 watts per sub(before rise). This will be a box for LOUD daily pounding not really for numbers. I plan on doing a different box for competitions depending on how well this one meters. This box might be great for those music classes though What size was that port you flared for Adam Sandlers' box, 8 inch? If so do you still have the mold for it? Quote TDH FTW !!!
