Okay here is the deal I have a KHC2000 in the rear for power to my amplifier and I still have a factory battery under the hood..

QUESTION 1: Will a battery isolator solve any problem there is?

QUESTION 2: What size isolator should I get?

QUESTION 3: How do I hook it up? or is it something a mechanic should do?

Thanks for the help!

Don't get one, waste of money. They are only nice if you play your music with the car off and need to keep a charged battery to start it back up. Playing a powerful system without the car running to keep it charged is just asking to damage something.

Edit: The only real logical use I can come up with to having one is if you compete in a class where the rules state that your engine must be off during the run.

the only thing an isolator does it make sure you dont drain your front battery while playing music with the car off. while the car is on it is a closed circuit. same thing as a straight wire.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

^^^^^

Pretty much useless as the car should be on while playing.

oh wow lol well then thanks for the save on that one.

In that case would it just be fine to have the extra KHC2000 in the back running off the stock in the front??

its not ideal but it works. upgrade the front battery when you can.
