XX7R
Okay so I have two dual 4 ohm woofers wired like this But when i hook my DMM up to any of the coils or the amp it says that its anywhere from 8-10 ohms? I have the subs reverse mounted and on the deck (Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD) i have the sub polarity set to "reverse". Any ideas??? bkolfo4
Do you have them connected to the amp while measuring? If yes, disconnect them and measure. If no, better: Check your wiring Check one coils at a time (disconnected) Check you meter and settings Quote Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. LoudBimmer
same thing happened yo me before, instead of 1 ohm it showed 10 ohm load. Your subs are at 1 ohm, try using different DMM and check thru different parts of wire.

bassrace
Maybe the dmm is on the wrong setting or turn off the deck and check it. Dont check it if theres power going through the wires those cheap multimeters cant handle it. Or one of your voice coils are damaged.
