tctdh11
I had wet cells in the rear of my vehicle for a while.. that is till one vented and got everywhere. Just be sure to vent them to either a vent box or outside the vehicle if you don't want battery acid everywhere. EBW
I run wet cells due to budget build like everyone else here says put it in a battery box... the plastic one and vent out of the cabin hydrogen can go boooooom when you light something *edit I've never had one leak on me.... that's just me though I've heard of people not properly mounting it and them tipping over causing a spill which ruins whatever it touches Edited August 13, 2011 by EBW Quote Kenwood KIV-BT900 Front Stage RF 400-4 Runs off dedicated 4 awg ofc RE 6.5 125.5. They aren't meant for fast discharge so if that is what you are doing they will heat up and vent. If you pull to hard on them they will vent, it's not a question of if, they will do it. The gas is highly flammable and poisonous. Just because it isn't "leaking" doesn't mean it isn't venting gas which is why you need a box for them to vent outside. OBI
You'be been given a lot of great advise not to run them in a car audio application. Don't let running your DC 5K be a priority over your health and safety. Just buy something that was made for car audio. I mean you already spent a pretty penny on the 5k already why skimp on your batts?
