Hobbs155
Please could i ask for assistance with getting my sus to sound correctly I have two Pioneer TS-W3002D4 They are currently in a box 36cm (High) x 38cm (Deep) x 96.5cm (Wide) with the recommend port lenght of 3" x 3.5" that comes in the manual. The wood thicknesss is 1.9cm (3/4inches). The box is partitioned and each chamber has its own port, I have an ICE POWER 20000D amp running them, http://www.icepower.co.za/products/amplifiers/pro-series-amplifiers/ The amp is supposed to output 10 000W RMS at 1ohm and 6 000W RMS at 2ohms. The problem i'v having is that when i get to certain volume, it no longer seems to get louder, starts to sound a bit empty and ugly, the subs also dont seem to be hitting the low frequency bass. I have tried a few different port lenghts but nothing really seems to be making a difference, the subs also seem to be moving alot for the amount of sound they are making, i have also tried multiple amps with the subs to ensure it is not the amp that. At lower volumes it sounds ok, but i would expect these two subs to at least be loud enough to stop two people from having a conversation. I had 2 x TS-W305DVC subs and they were getting to 139db, my current setup seems a long way short of that. Any assitance or advice would be greatly appreciated, I have the feeling the box may be to big for the subs but i don't have the funds to be able to test different box sizes. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, i'm running out of ideas, i have changed the ohms, tried different ports, different amps. nothing seems to be making a difference. I took it into a sound dealer and they said it sounds odd but they had no idea where the problem is. bassrace
Maybe just double check all sub wires and connections Edit: and check each woofer and coils individually to rule out an issue with the subs 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry

Hobbs155
I have the Alpine CDA-9886 with the imprint Module, before i fitted the imprint module, I had LOUD turned on, and once the imprint module was added, it removes the function but gives you media expander, which i have tried levels 2 and 3. I have set the graphics equalizer manually and crossover points, currently got the lpf on the HU and AMP set at 80HZ, the HU volume controls go to 35, i have my everday listen volume set to about 22 and tuned my amp for my slipts and rear door speakers to that volume and they sound awsome, the subs only really sound good until about volume 16 and then they dont seem to get any loud, just seem to make dirty noise, hopefully i have explained it correctly. I can't hear any distorting. How do i check if the subs are still ok and theres nothing wrong with them? Thanx for all your suggestions. Guest
what is your electrical like? for some reason, i highly doubt you are running 10,000w. pics of amplifier please? take a shot of the power connection side of the amp. this will help us determine roughly how much power the amp is producing.
