bassrace
If its aeros i would tune lower than youu think you want to so you can cut off the pipe as you are tuning till you find a tuning you like the shorter the pipe the higher the tuning. The main thing is that you cant put pipe back on, but you can take it off. Edit: idk about daily use but on the TL those "elbows" to bend the pipe lower your score 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry
Hobbs155
Mmm ok, because I read that the port should be one port diameter away from any thing, I think my box my be to shallow to fit a long port. TheyDontWantMusic
you didn't say what car you borrowed the 15inch sub from out of. That was a honda civic. honda civic is always going to be louder than a big car.
Hobbs155
external: 36cm x 38cm x 96.5cm correct? we don't have 3/4inch MDF in Australia (19mm) we have 18mm. so internal is 32.4 x 34.8 x 45.5 per chamber. meaning each chamber is 51 litre before displacement, which is a bit smaller than I would have done, but should be fine. I'd tune to about 35Hz, as the chambers are smaller than ideal. minimum a single 4inch port per chamber, which needs to be about 36cm long. a 3inch diameter, 3.5inch long port would tune the box to like 45Hz What would you say would be the ideal box for these subs? I have clearly messed up the first enclosure, It looks like putting in a 4" port that is 36cm long, is going to be too close to the back of the box. Do you think i'm going wrong here? bassrace
Is there any way to let some of your ports be external? That seems like the only way to make it happen. 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry
