alright i have a 92 prelude with two fosgate t1 12s there in the vehicle facing foward behind the front seats where the back seats used to be my problem is when i close my trunk i lose alot of output. when its open its great loud deep and clean but as soon as i close it theres a drastic drop in sound pressure what the hell is going on. just a lil info here its two t1 12s in 5 cubes slot ported at 38hz running off 2100 rms ill post pics here in a min if itll help. oh theres no bracing or dividers between the trunk and vehicle cabin but subs are facing foward not towards the rear so i need help to find a solution to this problem any help would be great......thanks

Turn the box around or seal off around the box. I sealed mine off (subs forward) and its a lot louder.

you know how when you roll your windows down it sounds louder? its the same concept. When everything is closed up it is pressurizing the cabin but when the windows are down or the trunk is open, the environment around the subs change allowing them to move more freely because of the zero pressure environment, causing more air movement, and what our ears perceive as loudness to change.

and x2 on orionstang, sealing it off will help a lot.

if you want to fire them forward your going to have to seal them off from the trunk or turn them around

If its done right. You don't want any air/sound getting behind the wall.
