RooTxBeeR
You don't have to, when I did this to mine I did and I seen a bit of improvement to bass to the ear, don't know about the actual numbers. When you switch them, just listen to some music and then switch it and see which you want, it doesn't really matter. All that does is just flip the Terminals so its neg to pos and vise versa instead of it being normal. MrSkippyJ
You DO have to reverse true polarity of your subs if you invert them. It won't hurt them but who wants a sub stage that is completely out of phase with everything else? And I think someone did some testing that showed inverting subs actually lowers the output a small bit, maybe only the meter though. RooTxBeeR
It would only lower the output if the displacement changes that drastic, in reality if you built a box that had the same gross volume with them inside, and another with same gross volume with them inverted, they would be exactly the same. MrSkippyJ
I just remember someone tested it and it was in fact lower, on the meter anyway not necessarily to the ear. RooTxBeeR
Ah maybe, I bet it was because when the subs are in normal, the full cone is pushing the air into the cabin, with them Inverted the air gets a bit of a diversion from the basket as it gets pushed into that cabin. MrSkippyJ
I'm not gonna pretend I know why I just remember reading about someone doing some testing Quote F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
JBLEEZE33
So if i have 1 inverted and 1 not but both on their own amps the inverted 1 needs to have to wires reversed to keep both subs in phase..
