graham0599 Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 outlaw = door/window open, mic on kick funny , i have the same 'design' on my truck too... amps on top of batts ,its pretty much the only thing u can do to save room to haul stuff when u need to What I am going for is going to be a little bit different. I am going to have 2 rows of 7 batteries(currently have 11) I am leaving room to add 3 more 1400s in the next few weeks. Then the amp will actually be in a sliding drawer above the batteries so that i can easily get to the amp if need me and it can be pulled out if I am at a show. The biggest thing that I will have to figure out, is how to get enough airflow into the drawer to keep the amp cool. I'd check out how mr. meade did his. It apparently works and he has a lot more amps which equals more heat. You just have one huge bad ass amp. I wish you lived closer so i could get a demo of this bad ass truck My 350z build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/174424-2008-350z-build/page-2?hl=%2B350z+%2Bbuild#entry2605678

I am going to leave a gap open in the back top of the drawer for air to get in and then router a hole in the front of the drawer for the air to escape after it runs under the amp.

CJ18 Posted November 27, 2011 Author Report Posted November 27, 2011 BRA-FUCKING-VO! Man that came out sick! That's exactly what I pictured in my head and tried to draw for you! Very very very well done my man! I can't wait to see how it all finishes out! You do great work my friend! Thanks! I went through a few other design options in my head but yours always stuck out as the best option to get my bed back. I was really unsure when I first started building it as to how it was going to turn out but once I put the drawer in I was very very happy with the outcome. Now I just have to order 3 more 1400s to be able to fill up that bottom section and once I get back home I will get the current stuff pulled out and get this test fitted. Once I know everything it going to work perfectly, I will get it sprayed with Spectrum from Second Skin and then paint over that with black to blend right into the bed. I have a few ideas running through my head for a top to the drawer to go along with the LEDs and Plexi. It will stay shut and locked 99% of the time, but whenever I do happen to go to a show I would like to be able to pull the drawer out and show off the batteries and amp.
scooter99 Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 I'm sure you'll come up with something out of this world! Good to see your work man! It's very inspiring. Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
