CJ18 Posted August 28, 2011 Report Share Posted August 28, 2011 The time has come and the season is coming to an end for me so it is time to start planning the rebuild for my truck. I have always wanted to build a wall and have finally built up the balls to do it. This all started for me a few years ago when I decided to take out my back seat and started with 2 Solo X 12s on 2 Kicker 2500s. This original system was built and installed by a shop in Orlando during Spring Training in 2008. I got tired of the 12s and decided I would try my hand at building an install my self. Next was 2 Solo X 18s, then 6 MMatts Juggernaut 12s, then 8 juggernaut 12s, back to 2 solo x 18s. After a bunch of failed attempts I started getting more serious and looking at builds here, asking more questions and started to really learn what I was doing. My next builds were 2 SMD 18s, 2 Level 5 18s and then the last one was 4 XL 15s. This has all gotten me to where I am now. I will try and dig up some pics of the old builds and post them until I can get back home and get started on the new build, but for now I am going to start posting the equipment list that will be used in this final build. I have to send out a big thanks to Rusty, Ana, and Rob out at DC for supplying a great product for the brunt of this build. Subs- 6 DC Level 3 15s and 1 Level 3 10 Amps- 1 DC 7.5k, 1 DC 1.2k, 2 DC 175.4 Batteries- 1 XS d6500, 1 D3400, 1 D680, 5 XS d1400 Alternator- 1 Iraggi 260a and 1 Mike Singer 350a Front Stage- 4 Sets AA Carbon Mids and 4 Sets Kicker SS tweeters. Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! Why would you EVER WANT flex?huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct? I know the subs were built this weekend and should be shipping sometime this week. dident you have 3.5k's? whered they gooo? and this from what your saying is looking sweet! 3.5ks were the original plan but once it came time to pay for the equipment there were 7 7.5ks available and only 4 3.5ks, so I decided to go with the 7.5k to leave more 3.5ks available for others to purchase. Pics pics pics Will post some pics that I have of some of the older builds until I get home to start this one. I am still in Tampa right now. very nice, runnin 14v for the sub amp?
