Lost Legacy
Thanks for the comments guys Spent 9hours today getting on with the build. Was a long day but the box is near completion now with only needing a good sand to smooth it all over, wiring for all the speakers and a nice clean coat/coats of jet black paint. However to add to the increasingly shrinking list i still will need to do a centre raised area for the 5.25" speakers because due to a few minor mis calculations i forgot to leave room for the speaker covers. Also might get a mate to do some awesome designs on the box when it has its paint on . The box has had a few adjustments as i've built it, but none the less it follows the same design. Anyway; Will throw pictures up when i have a spare moment. But for now i have to go write an essay and then get some sleep. Lost Legacy
Right updates: Have moved on a fair bit in the build because i needed everything in by this weekend. Day one: Side parts going on That was all i got done that day. didn't have much time to work on the build. Day two: Did a 10hour day working on the box, incredibly tierd by the end as i had been at work beforehand too Front parts on now and test fitting top piece It was a good clean fit so on to the first sub hole and the 2nd hole Two holes done You may also be able to see above i got the internals in, but didn;t have a camera on me at the time. sorry about that. Modification to allow subs to sit snuggly Got the internal boxes for the 5.25" speakers built in Then on to the 6x9s required a bit of sanding and then i got the top piece on and did a test fit to see how it looked Everything was sort of fitting, just had to sand down a few minor parts. Am personally loving how the box is looking even after the few modification to my original design. Lost Legacy
Finally todays work was tidying up the box and wiring the amp to the rear battery. Paint and finish sanding are going to have to wait a bit, just needed everthing in and running as im going to a sound off tomorrow to see how loud i can get. My ear tells me that it is about as loud as my two 15s that i had (they weren't running full power, i didn't have a big enough amp) Sounds incredibly clean aswell. but a video will have to wait for now. This is where the battery sits, and i still need to tidy up my wires......looks a mess at the moment Thats all. will post on here after the sound off to let you know how i got on Honda Accord SirT + Mad sounds = Awesomeness VTEC go BRAAAAAPPPP http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141261-99-accord-sirt-sq-build/ Alright well i never done the big 3 so i see in my vision my truck on fire... Lost Legacy
hey this is pretty cool. but r u sure the subs will have enough volume per chamber? Thanks . The get approximately 40Litres (1.4 CuFt) per sub which is what the recommended volume is for the subs, that is a rough estimate though as i had so many angles in the box that it was too much work for me to be bothered doing to get an accurate volume. No chuffing though and im hitting lows pretty damn well and also hitting high bass good so i must have got it right. which im happy as about Honda Accord SirT + Mad sounds = Awesomeness VTEC go BRAAAAAPPPP http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141261-99-accord-sirt-sq-build/ Alright well i never done the big 3 so i see in my vision my truck on fire...
