Best way to ensure wire stays in amplifier?

Recommended Posts

My 0 gauge really isnt 0 gauge come to find out(Power werx 0 gauge welding cable)... So its not really filling up my T2500 amp. I was wondering if there is a trick to make sure that the wire wont slip out much. It has never came out, but it seems like i see more bare wire showing off the amp as time goes on.. Do i tighten it down as tight as i can? (it seems like that would break it)

Any tricks or suggestions would be helpful :)

the rockford amps are screw down all the way so no matter what size wire it should fit otherwise you can strip more down and fold it in half !

Yup i know, but it seems to push alot of wire to the side when you screw it down. The screw isnt that wide.

i noticed that same thing with my amps, like the wire seems to be coming out, but i can pull like crazy on the wire and it doesnt even move. i think its just the insulation pulling back over time.
