AUDIOADDICT02
I am going to throw this out there because i just got my car out of the shop 2 days ago. I was having issues with my throttle and they said i probably needed my throttle body cleaned and if that didnt work replacing my throttle body, which would have been about $800 for my Mazda 3. But they cleaned and its running a little better now but from what I read once you get your throttle body cleaned it takes a while for the computer to get up to speed. I think in that case you'd have to clean the whole intake manifold & the maf...not sure if it works the same for the 3 as my car, but it is recommended to reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative battery terminal & holding the brake pedal for 30 secs. after doing work on the engine. brownm3
Glad to hear ur up an running. I might try that. So while the negative battery cable is disconnected. Hold my foot on the brake for 30 secs and reconnect the cable. Might try that tomorrow. AUDIOADDICT02
Yea pretty much, holding the brake pedal is just to drain out any current left in the car's electrical system, & leave it disconnected for a few minutes.
