psx2p
i can never hate on someone who does what he has to do to get the job done. Keep practicing and in no time you will be building like a champ! We all started somewhere and i have also built my share of boxes with NOTHING but a rock, a piece of paper, and some scissors. Well not exactly that but close! hahah. i bet your next box will be 15% better and the next will be even better then that. That is how you evolve. Thanks man, That means allot. 01 GMC Sonoma 4x4 RF T1500.1bd DC LVL 4 12"
psx2p
Picked up a few cans of Rubberized Spray coating (undercoating / tool coating). Wasn't sure how It would work on wood but Im kinda shocked at the end result. Its not rough like bedliner,it has a nice smooth feel to it until you apply pressure, then you can feel the grip. Doesn't look all that amazing but the practicality of it out ways the looks in my book for now. 01 GMC Sonoma 4x4 RF T1500.1bd DC LVL 4 12"
Juice0723
You just have to do another coat and it prob nice as hell. The edges just sucked the first coat up cause the mdf is porous. meade916
always remember to primer the box before you put anything on it.....bedliner, paint, fleck-stone, all of it will just soak right into the wood every time costing a lot of money and a poor outcome. Primer will seal that wood up so it wont act like a sponge when you go to put a coat of whatever you ar putting on it and it should come out 1000 times better. Trust me, this is also something you find out the hard way...there was no internet when i learned lol. i would sand all that off. Sand those corners smoother, primer it with a color similar to what you are laying down.......and try again. Trust me you will like it better. ALPINE408
the frist box would of work just fine if you had some port length instead of just a port opeing thats what you did wrong with box # 1 but box 2 looks a lot better and box 3 when you get there will even be better Have you ever had your woofers blown? Juice0723
Steve is completely right. I learned the hard way of sanding and putting more coats on. Very costly cause of how much paint you have to use to do it.
