6th order build help

Recommended Posts

i'm planning on testing a 6th order.

got space roughly :

heigth: 29"

width: 38"

depth: 60"

planning to do a single box size of 14cuft.

then testing how to make it as loud as possible between 30-60Hz.

sofar my limitations are: one DVC 18" subwoofer, roughly 3000w.

ive planned this with WinISD:

the green line is the 6th order, blue line is my current enclosure 7cuft tuned to 37Hz.

my current box hits me burp 148dB and 147dB on music that has my peak tone (47Hz bassline)

but the question i got, how should my box look like to be as potential as it can be on a sealed car.

these are my ideas sofar

the lower 3 are facing to front.

should i do a "loading wall" or both ports out.

what to do what not to do.

Well, in your win isd, looks like you Plotted parallel, so, #3

ow sry, i was abit slow here.

so yeah that is only "picture" for a 6th order, im not sure if WinISD can calculate 6th order in series.

however, if and when i build this box as shown on #3, should i put ports center, up, down or on either side.

i've read that on driver's side box hits harder when sealed up, rather than having ports on center.

however i don't know wich one is better, ports on both sides or on one side only, and ports near roof or ports near floor.
