RooTxBeeR Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 Those dimensions you gave seem VERY small, I have a box thats 30x16x16 2.75 port length 28 in long and hieght of th einside of the box. Yours is pretty much the same as mine, and mine is under 3cu. I think that would have a big problem with it to. bdog Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 you only have 3.8 cf before displacement meaning your probably only have 1.6cf per sub after displacement this would work good for 2 ten inch but not 2 twelves IMO Quote REP

RooTxBeeR Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 N8, when i built my design for my box of 2 lvl 3 12's and posted it in the subwoofer forum, everyone flamed me saying it needs to be bigger than what I had made, even though it was off the recommended size from DC. I believe theya re 1.25, so I made a box with 2.5 cu, people kept saying make it 3Cu Quote On 11/20/2012 at 8:54 PM, AMI CUSTOMS said: Turned mine up today at a light, guy next to me his steering wheel started moving and he looked over at me like I was a magician lol. CaptainzPlanetz Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 The DC's shouldn't have a problem playing down low, I had my XL15 tuned to 28Hz and it played fairly flat down to 20hz and up to 60hz, try suggestions others said, also is what is your tuning for the box? My port area was around 10inches per cube but I was using Aero Ports. Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ GregoryAltieri Posted September 21, 2011 Author Report Posted September 21, 2011 thanks everyone for the replies...my box tuning was kinda high so im gonna do some adjustments tomorrow let everyone know how it sounds and yes a trunk wall is everything completely sealed off with the subs firing into the cabin and even if the subs peak at a higher frequency the lows should be playing well Quote
