soundsystemaniac Posted September 19, 2011 Report Share Posted September 19, 2011 My good friend just bought a 2005 bmw 545i. we are trying to install his 3 12s and amp. power and ground connections were very simple with the battery in the trunk, but getting signal and ignition seems to be a problem. id like to keep all the wires in the trunk. i know the factory amp is on the drivers side in the trunk and have found a thread that lists what wires left and right are. but it seems like the signal fades in and out. so my question is, does anyone know what are the correct wires to get a sub signal from? and is there ignition in the trunk? and if so where? i have tried tagging signal with a loc from the 4" speaker in the rear deck only to find out that that channel is high passed and has little to no low freq passing through that channel. any suggestions or PICTURES would be greatly appreciated.
