bassrace
You could'nt get a ported box there instead? It should be quite a bit louder if built/designed right. If you're looking to be the loudest you can be for what ya got. 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry

brownm3
If thats true, then why dont the top installers go cheap and use boss and pyle? Ok fine there is better equipment but depending on what your looking for SQ/SP the average person that doesnt have $$$$ to spend on the top line setup up can make it work. Davetheboxguy is one that proves you dont need the best to get loud. Bacy2k
its not meant to be loud. only felt and heard.not to bassbox my car aprt.a you want to be able to feel your bass, but not for it to be loud?? if you dont want it to be loud, why ask about whats the best? and youre not gonna "bass box" (or whatever the hell that is) your car apart with an 8. since moneys not a problem, and a box for an 8 wont cost much at all, build a sealed, and a ported box and try them both out. id be willing to bet youd like the ported box better (if built right) my recommendations on subs would be DD, Sundown or DC. Ric from PCA tested all 3 of those 8's out and they all did very well. they ranked in that order, in that particular application, on the meter as well. and also have highest to lowest rms rating in that order. as far as the sub, get whatever fits your preference or price. but mostly, your power range. get the one that best matches your amp, or the amount of power you plan to put to it.
