kickass audio
IDK man, id try to see what your impedance rise is if you can because that will help us all out to see what your impedance load is for different frequencies. kickass audio
It could be but that still wouldnt make any sense. I was screwing around with my old amps strapped and i disconnect the master/slave rca and it still produced bass but it was half the power since one amp was taking the job instead of sharing the load with both amps but it still worked and didnt throw itself into protect. Do you have an oscilloscope? If you do id see if you can try to burp it and look at your scope to see if when you get to the point where it protects if it has a dc voltage output or something because my amp has dc offset and yours MAY but idk for sure. fox_racin4
The manual says something about that, but still doent make sense...it worked fine, till i tried the kenwood, and its been down hill since Quote 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
JEMT8
Just to clarify, you did reset your gain with the new deck? Quote formerly known as Jaylor Swift
1988JimmyRE
i would get a new set of RCAs and make sure all of your fuses are good, maybe you popped one leading to your battery? That would mess your voltage up pretty bad. Quote BUILD LOG-->1988 S15 Jimmy V8 4x4 2 15" RE Audio<--BUILD LOG
fox_racin4
Im gunna try a new strapping rca yes i reset gains with new deck, Im back to original deck now tho.and still have issues notvas bad tho Quote 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
fox_racin4
i figured out my protect problem, its from not enough box rise, i clammped the amps, and starting at .4 per amp ( strapped at . 8 ) i rose to 2 ohm strapped ( 1 ohm per amp) and made... 11400rms!! so the amps protect from being wired to low, its ok on a slow. roll burp but not very great for music Quote 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
kickass audio
Sweet. Good job finding that out. I honestly thought it was odd that the radio swap would cause it to protect. Also watch ur imp rise when the woofer breaks in. My imp dropped like .3-.4 ohms from what it used to be when I first got my system in.
