I read that the xs 6.5"s don't have as much mid bass than the cs 6.5's. The guy who posted the info supposedly talked to Matt directly from image and that's what he said. Hope that helps as far as the highest end xs vs mid level cs. If I knew where I found it I'd post a link to the thread.

Good info... I was somewhat set on the XS series but I do shut off my sub amp once in a blue so it might be better to go for the CXS series instead... I'm also looking at the SD series amplifiers (250.2D)...

Pioneer Premier P880PRS ll Front Stage: US Acoustics 4060 - Random speakers currently ll Sub Stage: Crescendo BC3500D - 15" Xcon sealed @ 3.28 cubes ll Electrical: - Kinetik HC1800(front) NEW***DieHard P-2(rear)

beaker- I know this sounds like a lot of anime bullshit, but it is true.

i have a set of xs 6x9's 4ohm and cxs 6.5s 2ohm. i have the 6x9's on a 600.2 and 6.5's on a 300.2 and love both sets. They are both awesome. And I have a set of O2 audio 8's 4ohm on a 300.2 and they are even better than the 6.5's.

Really for the money you can't beat them. I only paid 100 for the 6.5s and 8's but like 275 for the 6x9's. If i knew they sounded that good i would have just bought 3 sets of 6.5's off the bat instead of the 6x9's.

JVC AVX-44 and 360.2

Subs: 2 RF T1 12s 1ohm mono off a RF T1500bdcp 80hz \/ in a 2.3cube 45hz slot port

Mids: 2 O2 8's off a Punch 550.2 behind seat, 2 Image Cxs 6.5's and 2 ID XS 6x9s 80-3khz in doors on a T600.2

Highs: 2 ID CD.1 MH HLCD 8ohm off a RF 400.4 3khz /\

Wait, you had 2 separate amplifiers powering your front stage??? So you have a component set AND some 8" midbass I'm assuming in the front??? Why??

  • 2 weeks later...

So image dynamics is far from impressive to me so far.. Their customer service sucks. I ordered these comps about a month ago and still have no answers as to where they are.. well i called to day and now they tell me they are on back order. So im looking for another set of comps to buy.. need suggestions have to be 2 ohm and have a silk tweeter... lets go guys..

he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Did you order from image directly? I bought mine from woofersect and receive them in 5 business days. They were also shipped from Cali to Indiana which is a long trip. I called image the other day and got right through. That's crazy your having problems... Sorry to hear that.

XS 6x9's and CXS 6.5's in the door and O2 8's are behind seat all midrange and all are amped separately and tuned off the 360.2 with horns off their own amp too. I love being able to change the x-over points and eq everything so easy.
