98 SNAKE EATER Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I currently have an old refurb Kicker 300.1 (300 x 1 @ 2 ohms) amp pushing a pair of KEF 250B 10" subs in my Land Cruiser. It has performed fine since day one, but yesterday it started shorting out or sumthin (makes static noises through the subs randomly, even with the inputs removed and also pops during turn on....sumthin it never did before) Anyways, I'm looking into a replacement amp and saw this on Crotchfeel.... http://outlet.crutchfield.com/p_675FRP3001/Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P300-1.html?ssi=0&tp=13643&tab=review Rated at 300x1 @ 2 ohms RMS and from what I've gathered from the reviews, usually comes certifed between 409 and 425 watts peak Seems to be exactly what I'm looking for on paper, but I haven't dealt with RF since the old Foreman Grill amps Any thoughts on this? Also, any idea if my current Kicker remote gain control will work on this amp? (I think it's just a regular Cat5)
