spldreams
I just picked up an mb quart 4.125 and im not sure what components to get that match with this amp. i have about 150 bucks to spend per set. i know this limits my options and my main concern is having a speaker that can handle 125 watts. would it be safe to run a speaker thats rated at less than 125 rms? would a speaker rated at 80 watts rms just be over powered? Basically i just need suggestions on 6.5 inch components that will match well with this amp and are about 150 dollars per set.

THEKINGsBACK
x2 he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
spldreams
I just looked up the jbl p660c and the specs I read said they are rated at 2 ohms. at 2 ohms this amp puts out 250 watts per channel so im not sure how well they will work together. That amp most likely won't do a rated 250rms per channel by any means, I wouldn't say more than 200rms at most, but if you properly set gains and crossovers you won't have an issue Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
spldreams
yea thats what i was thinking. just wanted to double check because I dont have much experience with component speakers or anything besides just matching rms ratings. thanks for the info, ill be doing a little more research but the jbl's you suggested are on the top of my options list for sure.
