4th Order Wall Build - (6) 12" Obsidians - Crescendo 5500 - 2000 Mercury Cougar

Recommended Posts

Nice progress. I'd like to see the design for 6 12's in a 4th order for that tho.

X 2

Also, :NeedPics: instead of videos, "bitches" lol!

Can't seem to find my camera at the moment.. So it will be lots of videos.

Hope you enjoy.

I'm working on the design, won't know exactly until I get the shell built. I have the dimensions so I'll mess around with it.

That sucks. But yeah, good luck with the design. It's gonna be pretty hard to do a 4th order. You have less space than you think.

Sacrificing half or more of my trunk space or "hatch" space, for the wall.. It should work out.

If it were me, I would line the rear side panels with 2x4s and get the shape o the hatch area where it's slanting. Go look at the build log of derriks integra. Do 4.5 - 5.5 cubes sealed and whatever you can pitted. I'd try to stay around .75 sealed per 12.

Okay thanks man, yeah I'll go take a look at his integra. I was thinking about just lining the sides with actual veneer birch(or whatever wood I'll be using) to get the most out of the room I have.. So around 5 cubes sealed and I'll try to get around 10 cubes ported for a 2:1 ratio?

Yea should work well ^^

My starting point is make everything as big a possible. Bust out the TL, and start testing. Shrink the sealed chamber and test each time. When it stops gaining on the meter stop shrinking.

Then move to pitted chamber, shrinknit until it stops gaining. Then onto your port area and tunings.

I assume youre gonna do subs going toward the center of the car ?
