October System Of The Month Questions

Recommended Posts

Started this thread so the SOTM thread doesn't get all jammed up with discussion.

what are the dimensions on the XP3000

P.S. i need to do updating before i can enter :(

Same physical size as the D3100. More capacity than the D3100, but less instantaneous power and is for supplemental/secondary applications only.

Another question on this, when is a D3100 generally NOT used in or as a secondary/supplemental battery application? What difference will the less instantaneous power make between the two? I am just curious as I have never seen the D3100 used as a primary replacement battery, this definitely interests me.

Thanks!

The D3100 is used under the hood in a lot of applications anywhere from Civics and Scions all the way to Suv and Trucks (just like Steve's Tahoe). The D3100 is the top performing Group 31 battery and will out perform the XP3000 when put side by side. The XP3000 is not designed for the under the hood use and can not take the heat from under the hood. It is designed more for capacity and has the lower price point.

Or can we sub the d3400 and 100$ credit to upgrade, and if there's a difference in cost pay it?

Say I wanted another d2700, could I upgrade the d3400, and pay the difference using the 100$ credit + whatever difference is left over?
