blownengine
Your options are to run one or the other. You cant mix different subwoofers. little-kid-wit-bass
You could, if all the coils are the same resistance you could, but its really not recommend. awall1022
You could, if all the coils are the same resistance you could, but its really not recommend. They are the same exact sub model and everything one is just dual 4 and one is single 4 Why would this be bad just not an even distribution of power between coils? little-kid-wit-bass
Exactly. The dvc coil would take up more power. So that svc will probably will blow if you Dont set your gain right. An the subs box demsions are probably diffrent since one model is higher, so one of them wont be pushing to the Max. But if you wanna, ill tell you how Ohms to wire it at. How many Ohms stable is your amp? awall1022
my amp is 1 ohm 2 ohm 4 ohm stable. it would seem to me like this would be just like wiring 3 svc subs together since all the coils are the same ohm? seems like theres alot of bad things in the car audio world haha everything must be precise and correct and both subs handle the same amount of power and require the same box specs from what i see online Edited October 6, 2011 by awall1022 1 Quote lifted trucks gorgeous sluts a pretty face and slammin bass My current Set up Car less I Do Ported Box designs/cutsheets with 3d google sketchup model just PM i would really want an in-depth guide Just flip the fucking thing over
little-kid-wit-bass
www.the12volt.com Go to this site, click subwoofer wiring, choose 3 speakers, an 4 ohm svc. Choose the lowest you can find Thats not below your amps resistance. I always use this site. Its very helpful. Mha
iif u think it can be done just do it, why ask a question then not fallow whats said
OrionStang
It is not like wiring 3 svc subs together. The dvc sub is going to take twice the power of the svc. Example, if you have a 1000w amp, the dvc is going to see 667ish watts, and the svc will see 333ish. They will play differently and probably sound like shit. But if "your friend" doesn't know what a good system sounds like, by all means wire them together and tell us how bad it sounds.
