What brand amp and what model is the 850w class D? i really dont remember the model..it was a clarion..it wasnt mine..just hooked it up to test it out Then we don't know if it was a true 850 watts. Likely I'd say it was NOT. you're gonna need to figure these things out for your build. If you leave a weak link, you're going to doom yourself before you even start. Don't think because the subs weren't to your liking, that it was the subs fault. It could have been many other factors. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

It could have been many other factors. i can get my hands on 2 JL 1200 watt amps could i run 1 to each pair of fosgates once they are in a box? would that be better them my boss 3500watt mono to all 4?

If you need cheap wiring check out darvex.com prices are phenomenal and shipping is free over 25 READ READ READ write down what you need create a plan and execute do not cut corners and surely do not take this lightly you can seriously Fudge up your whole damn car messing around with what you're doing. I understand being on a budget believe me we were all there at one point and it isn't hard to save for something better patience is key. Ask questions but when 4 pages worth of people tell you know just accept the answer as NO believe me we won't steer you wrong and we are all here for the same reason...for the love of Car Audio. You're in a good place right now Rockford Fosgate HX2's and JL Audio amps thats a great combo the HX2's (mine anyway) are 500w rms each check the rms of the amp at the ohm load you need, wire them up and tune your amp right using an O-Scope or DD-1 (if you have neither then find someone in your area who does and have them tune it, has to be someone on here who lives in your city with a dd-1 or o-scope). You may want to be careful with getting into car audio believe me a lot of random ish happens in this game and when those problems reach you, you don't want to be stuck without a car to drive. Also remember I am pretty sure all of us here has either received or been close to receiving a ticket for being too loud (noice violations are bitch) I have gotten a few I take them in stride but someone without a job might not be too accepting of one...just saying. Know what you're getting into before you jump head first.
