Guest
got my dad to jump my car, got them dmm out put it on ac voltage, put a prong to the 0 gauge and grounded the negative, it read 27 amps.. any ideas? cars run on DC voltage, not AC voltage. and its voltage not amperage. edit: as far as your problem goes, call mechman up Edited October 9, 2011 by Kranny

MECHMAN
Need an amp clamp or an inline ammeter that can handle 270+a to be able to test amperage on the car. I got your email, give me a call when you can and we will see what's going on. From what I am seeing in the video belt slip could be an issue. If it's slipping it will cause voltage surges like that. Also if any of the connections are loose it will be a problem too.
