those amps are alright they arent the macrotechs but from what it sounds like you only have it in stereo, if your gonna do that then hook up each VC to one side of the amp or just bridge the amp into 8 ohms. but meh its your choice.

I usually run it bridged at 8 ohms. I just wanted to see if it did rated power.

Wire 2 d4s parallel?

Dude, I'm not going to run an amp in bridge mode whose lowest impedance is 4 ohms at half that.

As previously stated, please leave this thread.

Hmm...

I just did a test at 8 ohms on 1 channel at 50 hz. The amp only pushed 49v - which equates to 300 watts.

Even though Crown lists their power at 1 khz - this is still fairly dissapointing (and pretty unacceptable)

I sent Crown an email about the problem. I will keep everyone updated on where it goes.

how did you test and calculate this to get 300 watts?

He got the 49V by using a Multimeter on AC Volts. And then you do AC Volts times AC Current i believe

AC-Volt x AC-Amp = Wattage That you are getting.

I believe that's how its done.

I found this chart too, But it might be off.
