joemon
Hey I kno this must be dumb but Idk too much about this but does it make a difference if u mount the sub IN the box with cone faceing out compare to mounting the sub OUT with the cone facing in the box? Thinking of changeing my subs to mount out.. I have two dc lvl4 12s in a sealed box. ZaintheBassHitter
Nope, I just changed the phase to 180 degrees on my headunit... Some amps might have a phase knob too that you can turn Edited October 22, 2011 by ZaintheBassHitter
joemon
Ya having subs like that don't change nothing? Sound? Spl? Db? So u don't need to change setting on amp or nothing? CHEVY4X4BLAZER
My next sub is gonna be inverted.
Trey_Dog650
You have to reverse the polarity if you have them inverted. Or i guess the guy above had that option on his deck. But as far as i know people invert it so there is less displacement in the box (more air space in the box) and for the pure sexiness of it! joemon
So all u have to do is +to- and -to+ from amp to sub? Quote stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/105505-silvia-first-time-build-kenwood/

STEvil
So all u have to do is +to- and -to+ from amp to sub? or change the phase on the amp or the head unit (not both). Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. fecupe2001
Same thing, i tested this before and didn´t see any change on the meter or how it played to my ears, but of course, subs displacement were kind of small, i guess for people using subs with a lot of displacement would change a little bit since you gain more internal space...
