This week it was time to upgrade. . .paid $400 for the cheap bike, and sold it for $400 on Sunday. Bought the 04 YZ85 that is like new (very few hours on it. Motor is like new, original tires, chain, sprockets, brakes, etc. all like new) yesterday for $725. Doing pretty good considering the old bike did not have a clutch and nowhere near this much power. FaTbOy911 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Share Posted October 27, 2011 there nice i had a crf 230 and now want to upgrade into a yz i think its a yz250 hope my daughter loves riding to ill get her 1 of those yz85 lol they look nice Quote Had an estimate of 6400 for an alpine/clarion setup dealer said it "should" hit around 160db with the custom boxes he was going to make for me..doubtful with so much area to move but, budget is way below that any ideas on cheaper brands for that kind of Spl setup? really didnt want to try any Boss or soundstorm, thinking Quantum figure around $150 per speaker "$1800 total" and $1700 to power it, first actual big setup for the van. He was about 115 lbs and that thing would do 90 mph. it was an absolute freak. ive never seen another 80 that fast. IT would actually pull on a worked up banshee til the banshee hit 4th gear. I used to ride a CR80 big wheel that belonged to one of the Loretta's qualifiers the year before. No idea on the specs, but I was a big kid and it'd fly with me on it. Put 4-5 bike lengths out of the gate every time. With the right know how they can move out. My KX85 had a Hot Rods crank with a shaved Wiseco for a perfect balance, LOTS of port work, and alot more I can't honestly remember anymore and it was a screamer as well. Nothing like the CR though.
