RXdriver11 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 1/3 does "sound good" but the only way without markings is to scope it and see where it rolls off at. cjvue Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Looks like 30hz subsinic filter (1/3) setting may be a little low for a box tuned 37hz. But personally i dont think that is a big issue. Althought it doesnt hurt to set it at 34-35hz. How big is the box and port area? qcbangin Posted October 29, 2011 Author Report Posted October 29, 2011 the box is about 6.5 cubes. not sure on the port, it was designed by strongman.
qcbangin Posted October 29, 2011 Author Report Posted October 29, 2011 i wish i knew someone who had a scope or dd-1. i've checked the access list and the closest person to me is in chicago, about 3 hours from me. if i had the money, i would defenitely invest in one, but it's not possible right now. 1/3 does "sound good" but the only way without markings is to scope it and see where it rolls off at.
cjvue Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 iirc, 6.5 net cube is decent size box for the 18. Any local member with DD-1? My Build Log- T E A M S U N D O W N A U D I O - 2013 DbDrag WF SS1-2 - 5th Place 154.6db 2013 MECA Mod3 CA State Final Champ 153.4db Powered by: Sundown Audio

cjvue Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Dam... Tough luck. Try playing with the setting a little more (be easy on it) and save up for one. Beanz Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Wait what kind of songs are you playing when they get stinky cause you could be playing below your tuning frequency. That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
jmander11 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Try playing Drop the World by Lil Wayne. It's 51hz for 99% of the song, then twice (I think) hits 33hz for just a second. Young Jeezy is generally low bass no, so that could be the problem?
