I supercharged my car so I dont really want 400+ LBS in my trunk anymore, I already sold the 5 12's and batteries. Im looking for some opinions on the subs and what I can expect out of them. I have no experice with them myslef but have a chance to barter labor and cash for a brand new 13 . I have already had rockford fosgate T2 15's, alpine type R 12's, Fi BTL 18, kicker CVR's so I'm looking forward to trying something new. The W7 has quite the reputaion BUT I have read a few reviews with people saying the SQ is horrible and its soley a SPL driver and than I read that is both. Im sure as always box and install make or break the system so maybe that was it? Converse lower tuning is just hard. Like I said I'm not expecting anything crazy but with all the hype I was curious what should I expect? some say its an SQ driver some say SPL? I dont compete, my next set up will be all for show and les go. I'll be building a clean and lighter trunk set up. None of the show's I go to have a meter anyways and the few that did were far from any kind of legit show. I go to low rider shows so its all about looks... lower tuning is just hard. I do not feel its ever lived up to the hype of the price. Im doing am install with a local guy who has ties into a LOT of companies. He will being doing 2, possibly 3, W7 13.5's in his 06 GMC Canyon. He already did a blow through last year with 2 AQ HDC3 15's. It should be pretty loud. I heard 3 13's in an avalanche in Tempe AZ a few years ago and it was LOUD. Im getting it for ~85% off lower tuning is just hard.
