DudeWith4x4
Brandon-I've never handled birch but it seems a lot better than mdf. I may build it with birch just to try it. Gaming- that is true and if I do it with mdf I'll probably wrap it and that would look fine. I also might put this in my gfs car after this so I might go with birch. -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. ChevyBoy95
Well it i don't know what the exaact length of the port is but I it's tuned to 29hz according to the way on foreverbumpins thread. I planned on putting 45s on this one just as I did the other. How is your port area so big for a 8? his port area seems to be about 46, and the cone area of an 8 is around 41 Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/

Brandon15zzz
Also when you cut the birch not as much dust/particles flying everywhere. But it's maily larger chunks which I prefer. DudeWith4x4
Yeah Brandon that does sound better. Does it chip off when take a router to it or does it cut smooth? -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. cc_audio
Do you see at the beginning of the line, the two 3" blocks with rounded over edges? Those are something that I have picked up from forevrbumpn and will always use. They create sort of a loading chamber without effecting the length of the line. They keep the woofer from unloading so soon, so 1) you can make the line area much larger and 2) you can put a whole lot more power to a woofer than without them which means much more output. If your building a T-line for a house and you'll be severely underpowering the driver, then leave those out. Otherwise, they are damn near a necessity to get anywhere near RMS power into a typical driver in a T-line without unloading. I would use birch if its only $10 more. Its $17 a sheet extra for baltic birch here, (if they even have it in stock). It's all gone! The Celica Build Feedback If I buy something from you, DO NOT USE FEDEX! DudeWith4x4
I would like to use your t-line but I want to have the sub in the center and not so tall. Thanks for all the good advice man. -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. DudeWith4x4
Here I redid my tline. It will have 45s and rounded corners. The length of the port is 141"s and the port is 36sqins. Does this look better? -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. Brandon15zzz
Not really sure I just cut it with a jig saw and it was just a little piece. I was jut modifying a box I bought. Also a guy told me that home depot has a wood which is just like birch for $25 a sheet. It's what my box is made of. He said that it's basically just the same in strength wise and stuff. He said it's like a generic version of birch. So from now on that's what I'm going to use. Just for the weight factor.
