HatersGonnaHate
A lot of heat. Or the magnets cracked or fell apart and blew the polarities way out of whack. I'd say heat though. CJ18
Heat from what type of source?
Skullz
A very crisp and toasty coil. Or maybe a few on that particular motor. Dunno exactly since we don't know it's history. LoudBimmer
could be from coils heating up, but they would blow before getting to the certain temperature to damage magnets. Check for cracks or any kind of damage to motor
vossy
Heat from what type of source? Are you trying to figure out how to do it, or how it happened to a sub you own? Skullz
The only 2 possible options of demagging it would be from extreme coil heat from a few coils or someone placing it an oven trying god knows what to it. Without knowing some background history it's a really tough thing to say. CJ18
It is one of the XLs that I just picked up from Dustin. He knew something was wrong with it and told me about it and I paid MUCH MUCH less for it than I did the others. I know it can be re magnetized and will talk to Rusty about it on Monday. Here is the coil and motor.
