CanNotT0uchThis Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Well I have recently installed subwoofers in my car and ever since then I hear a buzzing/humming noise from my front/rear speakers. I already tries to look up a solution on google it said make sure your power cable is not with your RCA cables and there on different sides of the car. I also figured out that it doesn't make the noise if the cars electrical is just on it makes it when the car is actually started. And if I unplug the RCA cables from the amp it also stops humming... Oh and I also have a 2002 Dodge neon of that has anything to do with it.. Thanks, Austin
skittlesRgood Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 then you have interference coming through your RCAs. they might run by some other powered device in the car. try running them a different way or get shielded RCAs. also, interference from the sub's RCAs can affect the mid/high's RCAs. DudeWith4x4 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 I had this same trouble through my doorspeakers once I installed my Double Din head unit and it annoyed the shit out of me. I put the aluminun tape around all my RCAs where they ran through the dash and where they crossed a power wire. Check all your grounds aswell. Make sure where ever they are mounted they have direct contact with metal.. Like sand or take a wire brush to the areas where they make contact. I grounded it with my tail light in the trunk. The paint wasn't scratched off so i sanded it all off where the tail light and my sub are grounded to.
