Hc800 As A Starter Battery

Recommended Posts

Is your car an acura or honda? I have replaced many batteries in those vehicles (and other simular) with the HC800 and it works great!

nah its a ford explorer.. but the battery compartment is weird. I want to keep all kinteiks so they match and charge the same, but the 1400-2400 are all the same height. Which is a little too tall for me. The 800 is 2.2 inches shorter

alright about 7.25H x 7.5W x 11.5L and 650CCA

So i think i will go with the HC800 because it puts out 900CCA so more than enough, and at only 6" High i can fit some nice battery terminals on it rather than just bolts with ring terminals

HC800 900CCA? Not a chance... that means that at 0 degrees this battery could provide 900A for 30 seconds without dropping below 7.2 volts.

The good news is that if you are going to parallel this battery with the 3 2400's in the back, then you'll never have a problem starting the car ;)
