medley123
Tinsel Slap seems like it may be the problem for the AA Havoc, at least according to some stuff I found on google Quote 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) MrSkippyJ
You need to reverse the wiring, but it has nothing to do with your noise. STEvil
reverse wiring or use phase control on amp or use phase control on head unit.. pick 1 not all 3. Could be tinsel slap, could be a loose spider, could be bottoming out, could be coil rock (they dont always move linearly).. Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. medley123
I thought I read you only need to reverse if you are inverting 1 of 2 or more subs, but alright will do Quote 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) MrSkippyJ
You need to keep your subs in phase with the rest of your system too. Decaf
take a video u can clip the shat out of an amp, all you have to do is play a song louder than the tone used when setting gain with the dd-1.
medley123
well it clicks no matter the volume on the head unit, and its more noticeable on like a beat rather than a held bass note. I'll take a video when I get a chance, but I set it with a O-Scope and I still stay at about 44/62 on the HU (48 is when it starts clipping according to the O-Scope) Quote 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!)
