Need advice: BL or SSD

I have a 2nd battery in my trunk, but the rest is stock electrical in my honda civic.

I have a kicker ZX1000.1

I want to get the BL 12, but my amp is only 2 ohm stable, and i know at the dual 2ohm version of the BL is 1500rms vs the SSD which is 1000rms.

My question is, which would be louder? Either one is going to go in a 2.5cf box after displacements tuned @ 34hz.

I have a dual 2 ohm BL 12 and it is pretty loud to be honest. It is def more spl than sq though.

So it comes down to if you want sq or spl.

With that power, I would get the SSD. Your not throwing gob ton's of power out, so the SSD would work better on that power, rather then not having enough for the BL.

i agree with Katt. I am putting about 1300-1500 watts rms to my Bl. so the ssd would be the better choice for that power.

The SSD would do better. If you under power a woofer long enough (The BL), you could damage your amplifier because to woofer is demanding more power that it doesn't have. Good luck!

dont spew false information. as long as you operate the amp within its ability it wont matter what sub/speaker is connected.

your comment would mean every time you are NOT listening at full volume you are damaging the amplifier because even with the proper wattage sub... as volume goes down so does power.

ssd/q would work well.
